Very encouraging to see the web site. went through a few of those. My personal opinion is that, things like this keeps us reminded of our roots, along with appreciating the richness of the culture we were fortunate to be a part of.

I think the KAURAB website is fantastic!! Hats of to Aryaneel and team. KAURAB has certainly established itself to be a very powerful little mgazine over the years thanks to kamal chakraborty and Barin Ghosal. Now that its on the net opens up a new dimension to its identity. Choice of poems are simply great. Indeed modern bengali poetry is dying , its really nice to see someone giving such an effort to keep it floating on the net. Ironically "parabaas" and "KAURAB" are both from bengali's in north america. Aren't we serving our language better here? ?

I've just been to your site on Kaurab. It's very good. However, I feel you could arrange to make available good English translations of the same so as to reach a wider audience. For instance, I have a lot of non-Bengali friends ( poetry lovers) who do not have access to modern Bengali poetry simply because good translations are scarce. One reason why modern BEngali poetry is in a bit of a moribund condition is, i feel, due to this.
